Our Mission

The Will Rogers Ranch Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to honoring the legacy of Will Rogers through interpretive activities and fundraising to assist in the ongoing restoration, rehabilitation, and preservation of Will Rogers State Historic Park.

The WRRF is an all volunteer organization, supported by the Rogers family, the Will Rogers Cooperative Association, long-time ranch advocates, the local community, and Will Rogers fans from around the nation.  We hope you will join us!

WRRF Board of Directors

Christopher Aronson

Christopher Aronson has served as Senior Vice President and Co-General Sales Manager for Twentieth Century Fox since September 2005. Aronson, a 28-year entertainment industry veteran, currently serves as Vice President and Secretary of the Will Rogers Motion Pictures Pioneer Foundation and previously served as Vice President of United States Variety. He is the proud father of three: Christopher Jr., Lyndsay, and Payne. Chris is a graduate of the University of California and is an avid fan of the Golden Bears.

Felice Densa

Felice Densa has been employed for the last six years for RixBradford Consulting, specializing in corporate/political fundraising and event production and management. She also has worked on various fundraising campaigns for city officials, including Bill Rosendahl, council member of the 11th district, which includes Will Rogers State Historic Park. An avid equestrian, polo player and tennis player, Felice was elected President of the Will Rogers Polo club in 2003. She is now the General Manager and Executive Director of the club. The club was re-formed as a 501(c)3 in 2008 under her leadership and direction. Felice is a resident of Studio City.

Diane Keaton 

Diane Keaton is an actress, director, producer, and author. She currently serves on the board the Los Angeles Conservancy and as a Trustee of the National Trust for Historic Preservation. She has appeared in more than 25 films, including the Godfather trilogy, Looking for Mr. Goodbar, Something's Gotta Give, and Annie Hall, for which she received an Academy Award. She has authored 4 photography books.

Wyatt McCrea

Wyatt McCrea is the oldest grandchild of the late actor Joel McCrea and his actress wife Frances Dee. Wyatt is currently co-owner of Third Point Productions and is actively involved in the real estate and ranching industries. Wyatt serves on the Board of the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum; is a member of the Executive Committee of the Golden Boot Awards benefiting the Motion Picture and Television Foundation; is a Board Member of RideOn Therapeutic Horsemanship; a member of the Rodeo Historical Society, the American Quarter Horse Association (Life Member), NMMI Alumni Association (Life Member); and a member of the Community Leadership Council for the Boys and Girls Club of Camarillo, CA. Wyatt and his lovely wife Lisa live on his grandfather's old ranch in Thousand Oaks, Calif.

Jennifer Rogers-Etcheverry, Chief Financial Officer

Jennifer Rogers-Etcheverry is a great grand-daughter of Will Rogers. Jennifer has been involved in the Rogers family business since 1991 and now serves as the family spokesperson and media contact. She travels throughout the year to promote the legacy of Will Rogers, including riding in the Rose Parade with "Sons and Daughters of the Reel West." Jennifer is a founding director of the Will Rogers Ranch Foundation; is a member of Friends of Will Rogers in Claremore, Oklahoma; is an advisory board member for the Will Rogers Motion Picture Pioneers Foundation; and is a long-time member of the National Cowboy Hall of Fame. Jennifer resides in Bakersfield, California with her husband of 20 years and two teenage children. Five years ago, she founded her own almond company called "My Husband's Nuts," specializing in seasoned and candied almonds.

Trudi Sandmeier, Secretary

Trudi Sandmeier is the grand-daughter of Emil and Trudy Sandmeier, both of whom worked for the Rogers family in the ‘30s, living on the ranch. A native Angeleno and Pacific Palisades resident, she has a Bachelor's degree in history from UCLA and a Masters degree in Historic Preservation Planning from Cornell University. She is currently employed as the Director of Education for the Los Angeles Conservancy, the largest local historic preservation non-profit in the United States and is on the faculty of the USC School of Architecture, Historic Preservation program. She serves on the board of the Will Rogers Cooperative Association and is a founder of the Will Rogers Ranch Foundation.

Brian Shea

A Pacific Palisades resident since 1950, Brian co founded the Palisades Will Rogers 5 & 10k Run in 1978 and has served as the Race Director every year since. The run has raised over $800,000 for the Palisades Optimist Club who supports the Boys and Girls Home in downtown Los Angeles and local charities. His is a First Vice President of East West Bank and sits on the Board and Advisory Board of Community in Schools Los Angeles West; is a member of the Saint John's Hospital Audit Committee; is a Trustee Emeritus of Marymount High School; and is a Founding Board Member and Past President of Palisades P.R.I.D.E.  (Click here to read a recent Palisades-Post article about Brian.)

Hannah Taylor

Hannah Taylor was born and raised in Toronto, Canada. Her grandfather, Nat Taylor, is credited with inventing the muti-screen theater, and was the founder of Cineplex. He was also an original member and past president of the Canadian Motion Picture Pioneers. Hannah’s father, Michael Taylor, was a two-term CMPP president as well. Hannah moved from Toronto to Los Angeles to attend UCLA, where she graduated with a degree in History.  A mother of two, she is also an avid equestrian, and a long standing member of the Will Rogers Polo Club, where she has played polo for the past several years. Hannah is an experienced event planner and co-chaired the First Annual Dog Iron Polo Cup in 2010. She was responsible for securing some of the major sponsorships, making the event a great success in raising much-needed funds for the Will Rogers State Historic Park.

 

Todd Vradenburg, Chairperson

Currently, the Executive Director of the Will Rogers Motion Picture Pioneers Foundation, Todd oversees the Will Rogers Institute - a national health charity most known for their annual fundraising in movie theaters - and the Pioneers Assistance Fund. A Pasadena native, Todd attended San Diego State University, where he also played football. His non-profit experience includes the American Heart Association and the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. Todd is a founding member of the WRRF; is a past-president of the Pasadena Junior Chamber of Commerce; has been a board member and volunteer for the Pasadena Tournament of Roses Association (Rose Bowl Game and Rose Parade) since 1993; and is currently an Advisory Board Member to the Los Angeles Sports & Entertainment Commission. He is married to Ann and they have a daughter, Victoria and son, Brock.

Lester Wood

Lester Wood is a resident of Pacific Palisades. Lester has worked in the financial industry for over forty years, is a member of the California Bar and former law school instructor, and currently works as a mortgage broker. He is the immediate past president of the Palisades Optimist Club and a docent at Will Rogers State Historic Park, where he leads up to ten tours per month. He boards his horse, Scout, adjacent to the park and frequently rides him on the trails and in the arenas. He is also a frequent hiker in the park.
